Choosing a body treatment

Match the treatment to the tissue and goal.

Body contouring is not one treatment. The best starting point depends on whether the main concern is a localised fat pocket, skin firmness, muscle tone, texture or a combination of these.

01

Localised fat

HIFU Body, fat freezing and cavitation may be considered for selected localised fat concerns after assessment.

02

Skin firmness & texture

Radiofrequency and RF microneedling focus more directly on skin firmness, collagen support and body-skin quality.

03

Muscle tone & combination plans

Powersculpt and multi-technology programmes can be used when muscle tone or more than one body concern is being addressed.

Body treatment FAQs

Questions before booking.

Which body-contouring treatment is best for me?+
It depends on the area and whether your priority is localised fat, skin firmness, muscle tone, cellulite appearance or a combination of concerns. A body consultation is the easiest way to compare the technologies.
Are body-contouring treatments a weight-loss treatment?+
No. These treatments are cosmetic body-contouring options for selected areas and are not a substitute for weight-loss treatment, nutrition or exercise.
What is the difference between fat freezing and cavitation?+
Fat freezing uses controlled cooling on a selected pocket of subcutaneous fat. Cavitation uses external ultrasound and is often planned as a course. Suitability depends on the treatment area, tissue and your individual goals.
What is the difference between RF and RF microneedling?+
Standard body radiofrequency applies energy externally through the skin. RF microneedling uses fine needles to deliver radiofrequency energy at a selected depth within the skin, so it is a more intensive treatment with a different recovery profile.
How many body-contouring sessions will I need?+
It varies by technology and concern. Some treatments may be performed as a single treatment per area, while cavitation, radiofrequency, EMS and combination plans are commonly delivered as a course.
Can treatments be combined?+
Yes, where suitable. For example, a plan may address localised fat, skin firmness and muscle tone with different technologies rather than expecting one device to achieve every goal.
Where are body treatments available?+
Our Skin Clinic has locations in Nine Elms and Fitzrovia, London. Device and practitioner availability can vary between locations, so choose your preferred clinic when booking or contact us if you need help.
