Injectables FAQs

Questions before booking.

How do I know which injectable treatment is right for me? +
Start with what you would like to improve rather than choosing a product based on its name. During consultation we look at the treatment area, your goals and skin quality and then explain the options that may suit you.
What is the difference between dermal fillers and Sculptra? +
Dermal fillers are generally chosen when more immediate volume or structural support is wanted. Sculptra takes a more gradual approach, supporting collagen over time. The best choice depends on the area and the type of result you are looking for.
What are polynucleotides? +
Polynucleotides are used in injectable skin-quality treatments such as Plinest and Rejuran. They are generally chosen when the focus is hydration, texture and overall skin quality rather than adding facial volume.
What is a Vampire Facial with PRP? +
It combines microneedling with platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. It is commonly chosen as part of a skin-quality and texture-focused treatment plan.
What is the difference between Sculptra, Lenisna and Juvelook? +
They are used for different goals. Sculptra is a PLLA collagen-stimulating treatment. Lenisna combines PDLLA with hyaluronic acid and may be selected when greater firmness or structural support is part of the goal. Juvelook also combines PDLLA with hyaluronic acid but is often chosen for skin-quality plans and more delicate areas such as the under-eyes.
How are Bacio and Rejuran different from dermal fillers? +
Bacio is a hydration-focused lip skin booster, while Rejuran is a polynucleotide-based skin-quality treatment. A traditional dermal filler is more commonly selected when added volume, contour or structural support is the main goal.
Will I bruise or swell after injectable treatment? +
Temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, injection marks or bruising can occur. How much and how long it lasts varies depending on the treatment, area and your individual response.
Can I book a consultation for lines and wrinkles? +
Yes. If you are concerned about forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet or other expression-related lines, book a consultation for lines and wrinkles. We’ll assess facial movement and your goals, then talk you through the options.
Why might I need a prescriber consultation? +
A prescriber consultation may be the best starting point when your concern needs a more detailed assessment before a treatment plan is decided. It gives you time to discuss your goals, relevant health information, suitable options and what to expect.
Which areas can be treated with fat-dissolving injections? +
Treatment may be considered for the double chin and selected localised body areas. Whether it is a good option depends on the area, tissue thickness, skin quality and your goals. It is designed for localised areas rather than general weight loss.
What happens at a thread vein consultation? +
We look at the visible veins, where they are, the pattern they form and what you would like to improve. We’ll also review any relevant health information and then talk you through the best next step. Depending on the type of veins, we may recommend a treatment plan or suggest another assessment before proceeding.
Where are injectable treatments available? +
Our Skin Clinic has locations in Nine Elms and Fitzrovia, London. Treatment and practitioner availability can vary between locations, so check availability when booking or contact us if you are unsure which clinic to choose.
